Xtend Life Whitening Day Cream Review

We’ve been satisfied users of Xtend-Life’s range of skin care products and health supplements for a while now and haven’t had any cause for complaints. They’re moderately priced, safe to use and provide noticeable results.

One product we haven’t had a look at yet is the Natural Whitening Day Cream. It serves both as an anti aging day cream as well as a natural skin lightening cream.

Let’s see how it shapes up.

Ingredients:

The active whitening ingredient in the Xtend-Life day cream is called Extrapone Nutgrass Root. This is derived from a plant growing in India that has been used in Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine for thousands of years. Originally developed by cosmetics development company Symrise as an anti-irritant, its remarkable skin whitening properties was apparently discovered by accident.

Performance:

As mentioned before the Xtend-Life cream can be effectively used as both an anti aging day cream and an all-purpose skin ligthener. We tried it out on a couple of age spots on the hands of a 57 year old woman.

While the company seems to promote this product more as an overall skin lightening day cream rather than for spot treatment of hyperpigmentation, we thought this would be a good test for it.

After 30 days of using the product a definite lightening of the spots could be observed, and one minor light spot had virtually disappeared. No irritation or any other obvious side effects were experienced. While this is a limited test, we are satisfied that the Xtend-Life product exhibits noticeable skin lightening properties, if not as quickly and noticeable as we experienced with the Meladerm cream.

The difference in the age of our two test subjects may be a factor. Unfortunately we don’t have the resources at our disposal to do more extensive testing. We simply try to determine whether the product delivers a result.

With that said , to see any sort of results within 30 days is a testament to the product, as in all our testing over the years most skin care products that produce any truly noticeable results only start doing so after 60 – 90 days.

We were a little skeptical of this product since we haven’t found a lot of documentation or reviews relating to the Extrapone Nutgrass ingredient apart from the Xtend-Life and Symrise websites, but we’re happy to confirm that it does seem to be effective at whitening skin, and doing so without any irritation.

Xtend-Life offers a very generous 90 day money back guarantee that applies to opened products (maximum one from each type of product though, which is fair).

Cons:

  • Might be less effective on severe or deep hyperpigmentation
